Patrick Murphy (President) has worked in St. Louis radio and television for 40 years. He has produced documentaries, music specials, art programs and weekly series for St. Louis Public Television as well as serving as Channel Nine’s on-air voice since 1981. Murphy has served as the emcee for the St. Louis Speakers Series at Powell Hall for the past 20 years. A resident of Webster Groves, and a member of the Webster Groves Historical Preservation Commission, Murphy received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and a master’s degree from Webster University. Murphy. This is Murphy's third year as a Webster Arts board member. A self-described fledgling watercolorist, Murphy is also a member of the Missouri Watercolor Society.
K Wentzien (Vice President) holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Iowa and an honorary Ph.D. of Humane Letters from Eden Seminary. A community volunteer and serving on many boards and commissions during her 35+ years in St. Louis, Wentzien was once named a Webster Groves Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year. She is currently involved with Webster-Rock Hill Ministries, the Big Muddy Dance Company, Center for Women in Transition, the league of Women Voters of Metro St. Louis, and the Rotary Club of Webster Groves. Wentzien considers appreciation of the arts in all forms the foundation of a robust community that embraces people of all races, faiths, economics, and education.
Katie Stocke (Treasurer) received a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She has ten years of experience working in finance, with her focus in operational audit. Working part-time at a church in Webster Groves, Stocke and her husband live in Glendale with their two young daughters. Stocke is also a community volunteer and has been on the Young Friends Council of the Missouri Botanical Garden for six years.
Peter Love (Secretary) is an attorney and member of Goffstein, Raskas, Pomerantz, Kraus & Sherman, LLC whose practice of over twenty-five years emphasizes business and civil litigation, and business and family law. In his free time, Love remains involved in the St. Louis community as attorney and board member of a number of other nonprofits, including the St. Louis–Suwa Sister City Committee and Junior Chamber of Commerce related entities. Love resides in neighboring Clayton and attends Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Webster. Love believes Webster Arts must continue to grow its influence in Webster and the greater St. Louis community.
Kathie Cahoon (Immediate Past President) received her bachelor of arts from DePauw University and her PhD from Washington University in St. Louis and has taught at SIUE and Washington University in St. Louis. She has also been a strong advocate for the arts in Webster Groves, and has been a volunteer and/or board member since 2009. A long-time resident of Webster Groves, Cahoon also volunteers with Perennial, Brightside and the Missouri Botanical Garden and is a certified Master Gardener.
