Webster Groves Subaru Selects Webster Community Arts Foundation as “Share the Love” Local Charity, December 2014

Subaru will donate $250 for every sale or lease from Webster Groves Subaru during annual end-of-year event

St. Louis, MO – October 6, 2014 – Webster Community Arts Foundation (WCAF) has been selected by Webster Groves Subaru as its local charity in the seventh annual Subaru “Share the Love” event. From November 20 through January 2, 2015, Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased at Webster Groves Subaru.

In addition, Subaru has recently announced that it will increase the “Share the Love" event national donation cap from $10,000,000 to $15,000,000 due to increased sales volume and projections for the coming year.

Each year during the “Share the Love” event, Subaru dealerships around the country choose a “hometown” charity. At the time of purchase, customers will have the choice to donate to the local charity or to one of five national nonprofit organizations. The $250 donation is a gift from Subaru, and is not added into the cost of the purchase.

“Webster Groves Subaru and WCAF have enjoyed a longstanding partnership, ” Says “We enjoy our presence each year at Art&Air and Art on the Town, two events which keep the arts alive in the region. The WCAF mission of ‘art elevating life’ is important to the health of our community, and we’re proud to support that mission.”

WCAF Executive Director Jeane Vogel says the donations received from “Share the Love” support the year-round arts programing of WCAF, keeping it free and accessible to the public. Programs such as the annual Art&Air Fine Art Fair, Art on the Town, Paint Webster and Classical Closings are free to the public but are not free to produce, she said. Our donors and community partners make these events possible.

“We are honored to be partnering with Subaru during this year’s ‘Share the Love’ event,” says Vogel. “We’re very grateful to Subaru for this opportunity. They are consistently a generous and reliable partner with the Webster Community Arts Foundation in everything we do.”

This year, Subaru will showcase one of its latest models at Art on the Town on October 11. Art on the Town is a free and interactive arts and fine craft fair. The one-day event will bring out a gathering of artists, musicians and performers on the streets of Old Webster.  For a complete listing of artists and events, visit www.wcaf.org.
