Webster Arts again fills the Webster Groves Public Library Gallery with vibrant art from 17 local artists for Small Works IV December 1-31, 2016. This curated exhibition features 26 “small works” are no larger than 16” x 16” square. The exhibit can be viewed during normal library hours throughout the month of December. A portion of proceeds from sales of art will benefit the Webster Groves Public Library and Webster Arts, both nonprofit organizations.

The public and media are invited to a free artists’ reception on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the library, where artists will be in attendance to represent their works.

“Our Small Works exhibitions have been incredibly well-received and successful,” said Kathie Cahoon, Webster Arts board president. “The exhibits are part of Webster Arts effort to create more venues for professional and amateur artists in the Webster Groves and St. Louis region,” says Cahoon. “We love that this exhibition is so accessible to the public, from the seasoned art collector to the newly-interested art fan. We are always looking to fulfill our mission to create more opportunities to bring art to everyone.”

The exhibition was juried by Erica Popp, an artist living and working in St. Louis. Her artwork is mostly photographic and print media: gum bichromate, cyanotype, and Van Dyke Brown, and photopolymer gravure. Her work is inspired by nature and her environment. Ms. Popp received an Associate of Fine Arts in Photography from St. Louis Community College at Meramec, a Bachelor of Arts from Principia College, and a Master of Arts from Fontbonne University.
